GESTA — award design
Commissioned by Triennale Milano on behalf of the Milan Monza Brianza Lodi Chamber of Commerce.
GESTA is inspired by social bonds and the idea of inclusive and sustainable growth. The work, composed of three arches placed in relation to each other, intends to communicate the concepts of common benefit, trust, loyalty and sharing.
The relationships between the parts are the starting point for the formal development of the sculpture, where the elements stand and grow together thanks to a common and shared action.
The arched shape refers to the history of Lombard architecture, while the composition, rational and at the same time welcoming, is characterized by a marked interdependence between the parts aimed at communicating the economic and social dimension of the companies that inspire the Impresa e Valore award 2023.
Stainless steel, a characteristic material of heavy industry, was chosen for its durability and resistance, as well as for the possibility of being recycled infinite times without losing its original properties.
The sculptures were produced by artisan workshops located in Brianza and Milan.
