TREASURE — vessel
Working together with Italian glass artisans, Agustina Bottoni has crafted a one-of-a-kind vessel as an expression of love to her longtime partner.
Conceived as a contemporary reliquary—a precious container for that which we hold most dear—Bottoni’s piece is designed to protect and honor their relationship. It is, as well, a symbol of their devotion to one another, a feeling she describes as so vivid “we could almost touch and treasure it.” In addition to giving physicality to their bond, the work’s organic form and details celebrate the mark of the human hand.
Treasure also reflects Bottoni’s ongoing dedication to blending time-honored craft traditions and contemporary sensibilities.
